Through Guardian's Eyes - Luke Cyr (43 Handicap)
Standing on guard with shield and a spear
Protection from hardship, sadness and fear
Keeping you close an arms length away
Your Earthly choices are out of my say
The beauty I see through eyes of the Lord
My everything and all, until life is no more
Guided through pain, and tests of a life
Gods given power to show off my might
Believe if you will, or reject in due cause
Human mistakes, the imperfect of flaws
The time here with man, far from your Lord
Is moments in time most basic of cord
Songs of a life, mere seconds of time
Eternity in paradise eventual find
Here for you always, on guard I will stand
Until finished in peace, returned to the Grand
This is a poem I wrote before heading out to Cabot. I was unsure of how things would play out. I turned to the heavens and asked for all the help I could have. I prayed because that is my belief.
The poem itself doesn't follow one religion or religion at all. It's about knowing someone has your six, that you're not alone and someone always has your back. No matter your mindset, everybody wants someone to look after them. This is my way of telling myself, there is. When the chips are down, someone is looking after you. No matter your belief, this poem is a tool that should be used if you ever feel alone. So I hope you enjoyed it, and I thank you for your time.
