Inner Passion - Luke Cyr (43 Handicap)
State of love unbreakable until derailed
Rely and cherished until another ship sailed
Love for oneself can never find equal
Beauty engulfs without church and or steeple
Majestic love and passion throughout
I heart what I see there’s never a doubt
Age stands still, as praise fills the mind
Joy and happiness a niche that I find
Roll over and wallow, poison of the past
Tomorrows a future and never my last
Leading today with the power of pride
Stand without judgment and please choose a side
I’m so glad you see, this person I met
If you think this is greatness you seen nothing yet
This is a poem I wrote for a class when I was in treatment. The class was on self-esteem.
The problem comes with always telling yourself you're no good, and, how so easily we throw shade on any compliment thrown our way. We find a way to tell ourselves we don't deserve it. The thing is we do deserve it. Once you convince yourself of that, you can't be stopped.
What I suggest, you should try something like what I did here, use this moment and embrace all that you like and love about yourself. If that doesn't work write down what others think and use that overactive brain of yours to convince yourself it's true. If there's no one or nowhere to turn reach out to me through our contact option; I'll always be here for whoever needs me. You know it's true, because I was you I was sitting alone in the dark and thought this was it, but this isn't it. Reach out please know with 100% truth, I have your back.
