Happiness Reborn - Luke Cyr (43 Handicap)
Fallen from grace, hidden in sadness
Rewards and success silenced by madness
Hidden in darkness of turmoil and pain
Let this continue, return too insane
Numbers are numbers, tomorrow a goal
Everything in promise, sale of my soul
Rise to the top, dance with success
Missing the train, drowning in stress
Flow comes with, praise and respect
Look at tomorrow, run from regret
Joy comes with answer of day
Future happiness accept what I say
Sunshine rises, advance with your cause
If you listen really close, stand for applause
I’ve made what I made, on work and respect
If I only look back, and do a quick check
This is a poem I wrote when I was at Cabot. I had just finished my first month of work, and was loving the praise I received from my bosses for how well I was doing. I wanted to put into writing something I could look back at to remind me of my successes, what I just came through and where I came from. A reminder that I'm not only important to myself but to the place where I work, who love my effort and skills as a caddy.
I was on top of the moon I couldn't be stopped and I decided to ride that feeling as long and as far as I could. I was gonna take a victory lap and enjoy the wind. Not only was I gonna enjoy it, I was gonna use the momentum to run with as far as I could. I really believed I deserved it. all I had to do was be the man who was standing brightly in the light and enjoying life.
