Otherside of Heaven (Feel Good)

Otherside of Heaven - Luke Cyr (43 Handicap)

On Angels wings through beauty ski
Sights we see when life do die
Moving on through Heavens gates
Reunite with Earthly mates
Times will change, sadness ends
Battle scars they slowly mend
Peacefully in Fathers care
Free of hardship or sins to bare
Take the time to settle in
Forever now this time begins
Embrace the love from all around
The sins of man forgotten bound
Joined in hand with loved ones lost
Your Hell on Earth your only cost

Discussion

This is a poem I wrote last summer. I was struggling with the actions of my life. I know that everyone has skeletons in their closet, but some of us have a walk-in closet.

I've done so many awful things to counter all the good. I want to remind myself that there is hope for me. I want to remind myself that we all have a chance at redemption. I'm not proud of any of my previous actions, but I also realize they made me the person who I am today. It always reminds me of the saying I heard, "Who do you think you are? Well, I think I'm me."

No matter the past, there's forgiveness for all who are willing to accept responsibility for their actions. And I'm willing to accept.
